Located just south of Nashville in charming downtown Franklin, TN, the garden at CJ's Off the Square offers several outdoor vignettes to set the scene for your small but stunning ceremony. 

Choose from our pond terrace with a waterfall, the garden patio, under the string lights in the pavilion, or in front of the fireplace as the perfect setting for your vows.

Our Small Ceremony package also include use of the historic home which has dressing rooms for the couple and even more opportunities for beautiful wedding pictures.

How many guests can I have with a small ceremony package?

The number of people attending the wedding (including you) cannot exceed 30 guests. 

Is photography included in your small ceremony packages?

Photography is not included in our wedding packages. However we will be happy to refer you to one of many talented local wedding photographers who offer our clients special rates. 

Can I also host my reception at CJ's Off the Square?

Reception services are not available with our small ceremony package. If you are looking for a more full-service wedding and reception experience, visit to learn about our Standard, Classic and Premier wedding packages which include both a ceremony and reception. 

We do not have a required guest minimum for any of our full-service packages so you can still have a larger scale celebration with a smaller guest list.  

Can I bring my own decorations?

Our small ceremony packages are designed to keep the details to a minimum. Limited decoration for your wedding ceremony is permitted and must be approved by the venue in writing prior to your wedding day. Any decorations or vendors that are not approved in advance will not be permitted on the property. 

Can I bring a cake or champagne?

No food or beverage is permitted with this package. We are happy to refer you to one of many local restaurants within walking distance to continue your celebration after your ceremony at CJ's Off the Square. 

I want to tour the venue. Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes, appointments are required to visit the venue. You can schedule an appointment online or give us a call to find a day and time that is convenient.  (615) 216-7576

Please note that availability for tours on the weekend is extremely limited due to our event schedule.

What happens if it rains?

Rain in the forecast? No problem! Our covered pavilion will keep you and your guests nice and dry while still providing a beautiful garden back drop for your ceremony and portraits. Take a peek at Ashlyne & Bailey's ceremony to see our romantic rain plan in action.

Do you allow pets?

We do allow well behaved dogs to be on property for photos and/or the wedding ceremony on a case by case basis. Read our complete pet policy here and make sure to speak with your planner about how you would like to include your fur baby in advance. Service animals are always welcome. 

What is required to book my wedding at CJ's Off the Square?

To book your wedding, we require a signed contract and a non-refundable payment of $500. The balance of your wedding package is due 30 days before your wedding. 

What is your reschedule/cancellation policy?

All payments are final and non-transferable. 

You can reschedule your wedding up to 30 days in advance of the original date. An additional $500 retainer is required to select a new wedding date. Any change to the wedding date less than 30 days in advance is treated as a cancellation.

If you need to cancel the wedding, no refunds will be made, however you will not be liable for any further balance due once you have given cancellation notice in writing.
